We accept all major credit cards. (Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover) Payments are processed safely and securely through Stripe, our online payment processing service. Shipping charges and tax will be added at time of purchase if applicable. All orders shipped to Illinois addresses will be charged Chicago sales tax (currently 10.25%).
Shipping and Handling
All domestic orders ship within 10 business days, unless otherwise noted. Some pieces are made to order and therefore may take up to 3 weeks to turn around. If you need your items in a more timely fashion, please email us before you place your order: email@example.com. At this time I'm unable to offer international shipping but please stay tuned as we hope to include this in the future!
All orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail: $10.00 which includes tracking and insurance.

If you live in Chicago, it may be possible to pick up your jewelry locally. Please contact us prior to making your purchase.
Refunds and Exchanges
We accept refunds and/or exchanges on new and unused jewelry within 10 days of receipt of order. After 10 days we reserve the right to refuse an exchange or refund. Items that were on sale, discounted or custom made are considered a final sale and cannot be returned for exchange or refund. If you wish to return an item, please contact us to process the exchange. You must receive an email confirmation of your return in order to receive a refund/exchange. Return shipping address will be provided along with email approval. Customer is responsible for shipping and handling fees on returns and purchase price will be refunded once returned item is received.. It is recommended to purchase tracking and/or insurance for return shipping. Please note that the product must be returned unused, undamaged and in original packaging including all tags. If your piece arrives to you damaged, please contact us immediately!

Care and Repairs
As Kara Hetz Jewelry is handmade, your jewelry may have subtle differences in color or texture from the photos on the website. Some pieces are oxidized, which means they have a darker patina than polished pieces. Oxidization is a natural occurrence which is commonly referred to as "tarnish," but is achieved intentionally through chemical application. Pieces that are oxidized may polish over time, as the natural oils in the skin will slowly remove the patina. Pieces can be re-oxidized if a darker finish is preferred. Conversely, a polished piece will oxidize if left unworn in the air. To keep your jewelry from developing this patina longer, store it in a well-sealed plastic bag. To polish your jewelry, a polishing cloth or liquid polish can be used. To clean silver that has been purposefully oxidized (blackened), do not use polish or a polishing cloth. This will remove the patina. A mild, non-abrasive soap and water and a soft toothbrush can be used to remove imbedded dirt.If storing necklaces in a jewelry box, be sure to wrap small chains gently around a a piece of cardboard to keep them from getting tangled. A business card works well for this purpose.
