Kara with hollow form chain

About Kara Hetz Jewelry

With an education in fine art, Kara Hetz has worked with many media, among them: paint, paper, wood, yarn, flour and song, and toward different ends, but her true passion is working with metal.

As a jewelry artist she is continually exploring uncommon ways to present common forms.  Her work is inspired by an evolving list of favorite things—old spaces, new music, talismans and tall tales, girlfriends and daughters, empty pages, a full glass, cravings, urges and twinges and the extraordinary rotation of the Earth.

Making jewelry is a way to continually bring the work back to the body, an external reminder of the things that we carry.  She hopes her pieces will become some of your favorite things.
